Colby Powell and his kids had the idea to put a Death Star in their back yard. The design evolved around the outer shell made of two grey-green T-10 military surplus parachutes. With a call to the lead engineer of the parachute manufacturer, Colby was given the seam lengths and was then able to calculate the inflated size. From that size a 23 foot geodesic sphere was constructed using Sonostar hubs and 1/2″ grey electrical conduit.
